What is Mowing Subscription LTV?

Mowing subscription LTV is the total revenue a recurring residential mowing customer generates across the relationship lifespan. Multi-year LTV often reaches $6,000-$15,000+ with seasonal add-ons.

The basic LTV math

A typical residential mowing customer in a 28-week season at $50/mow:

Now multiply by retention. A 90% year-over-year retention rate means a customer averages 10 years on the books. 10 × $3,500 average = $35,000 lifetime revenue per customer.

Retention is the multiplier

Why subscription LTV makes mowing the best vertical for paid acquisition

The high LTV makes acquisition CAC math very forgiving. Even at $200-$300 mailed-acquisition CAC, payback is in year 1 and the next 9 years of revenue are pure margin. This is why mowing contractors who run aggressive neighborhood-targeted mailing campaigns generate the highest 3-year revenue growth rates in the trades.

Compare to one-off services (single dethatching job, single fall cleanup-only customer) where the same $200 CAC eats 30-50% of single-transaction revenue. Subscription LTV is the lever that makes the difference.

How Landscape Launch helps

Landscape Launch's customer portal generates a rendered "after" image of the yard with a seasonal-package proposal — mow + cleanup + fertilization bundled — encouraging customers to onboard at the full subscription rather than a single service. Higher initial package adoption = higher year-1 revenue + sticky retention.

Build subscription LTV from day one.

Free account, free rendering, $1 per mailed landscape quote. Bundle proposals lift conversion + LTV together.
